Lentek Mosquito Trap Explained

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

A very effective, yet somewhat pricey technique to get rid of mosquitoes is the Lentek mosquito trap. These units will set you back a little bit, but the great thing is they work.

A beautiful summer night can be instantly ruined around twilight when the mosquitoes come in for a feast. Now, instead of having fun, you are swatting at the air. A Lentek mosquito trap will help that situation.

Sure, there are other ways to get rid of mosquitoes temporarily. You can use a bug spray for example, but that stuff smells and feels weird. None of this type of mosquito prevention would be necessary if you had a Lentek mosquito trap.

The most useful model is the Lentek MK11G mosquito trap. Others can be found online, but this seems to be the best. They are priced at around 300-400 dollars, but works wonders.

This divide uses both propane and electricity to run. One tank of propane will last about a month to cover a little less than an acre. It basically fools the mosquitoes into thinking the machine is a human.

What it?s great at is attracting the mosquitoes to the body heat and carbon dioxide they normally find in humans. Once the Lentek mosquito trap tricks them, they are toast.

After the machine runs for a while, a decent amount of bugs are found in the machine dead. The system is easy to clean out though, and it works in any type of weather.

Other models of the Lentek mosquito trap, like the Guard mosquito trap and the ? acre mosquito trap are available. These are for smaller areas or someone who can?t afford the big ones.

With all the top models found on the World Wide Web, you should start researching which one will fit the area you need it for.

Buying Perfectly Fitting Jeans Online

Monday, May 17th, 2010

Have you ever thought of purchasing jeans online? Many people have not, because they are used to trying on the jeans and checking fit in the mirror. This is of course impossible when purchasing online. But, if you have a tape measure and take five important measurements, you can buy online and be confident that your jeans will fit.

Be careful not to pull the tape too tightly when taking measurements. You want it slightly loose, but not slack. Having a friend do the measurements for you can be very helpful. Here are the five critical measurements you’ll need to take:

1. Upper waist: Most of us don’t think in terms of upper and lower waist. It’s even more complicated when you realize that the upper waist, used to determine the jeans waist measurements, is not where your actual waistband will sit once the jeans are on. You need to measure at the smallest part of your waist, even though your waistband will likely hit lower. If you measure where the waistband will hit, the jeans may be baggy at the waist.

2. Lower waist: Wrap the tape around your waist just below the pointy part of your hip. If this is unclear, you’ll need to do some visualization. Picture where low-rise jeans would hit on you, and wear high-waisted jeans would hit. Now, take the measurement at the mid point between these two places.

3. Bottom width: This measurement is taken at the widest point of the hips. Generally, you’ll find that this number will be a few inches larger than will the lower waist measurement.

4. Thigh width: Take this measurement by wrapping the measuring tape around one thigh at the widest point.

5. Inseam length: This measurement is not taken on the body. Using a pair of jeans that fit you perfectly, measure the length of the inner leg from the crotch seam to the bottom of the cuff. You can lay the jeans flat to do this, as this can make it easier.

Once you have all of the measurements, you’re ready to go to the manufacturer’s or vendor’s website. When you look up the sizing chart, be sure to add an inch to each measurement listed on the jean site.

Sizing should be fairly easy to figure out. Different countries use different sizing schemes, but in general if you know the country of origin for the jeans, you can figure out which sizing they will be using. Jeans made in the United States will probably use US sizing, and so on.

Hence, they can afford to charge less for the same products and still making profit. Things To Look For In The Women’s Shoe World During The Upcoming Year

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

At the beginning of a new decade it’s hard not to get excited about the new fashions that are going to come along. Ten years ago, who could have imagined the changes we’ve seen on the fashion front?

Trends can change dramatically over just two or three years, so it’s best for us to concentrate on what’s most likely to be coming up next.

Let’s take a look at the hottest styles 2010 has in store for us. We’ll concentrate on women’s shoes, if that’s alright with you, because I just love them and writing about them is a pleasure for me. Wearing them is a big pleasure, too!

My cupboard’s just bulging with shoes. Here are a few of my current favorites.

Right now, any Christian Louboutin creation is ‘in’. I especially like the reptile leather designs. These are a little flashy but have plenty of personality and make a big impact in the best possible way.

The Roberto Cavalli ankle lace is a fun style in boots. Laced around the ankle, these glossy black leather boots have quite a high heel. They’re more versatile than you might think, as they can be worn with various styles of outfit.

Thigh-high boots with heels have recently emerged on the scene. These are not the easiest things to wear but they create an amazing look for anyone who can carry it off.

Lastly, Hunter rain boots have made a big comeback. A nice pair of Hunter Wellies is a practical and stylish alternative to the sneakers most of us tend to wear in wet weather.

Not only do these boots keep you in fashion, they’re also very easy on your feet, which puts them at the top of my list for rainy days.

Important Tips For Online Flower Arrangements

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Purchasing flower arrangements from an web site is actually a great way to send someone flowers. Before the Internet marketplace, you would have to go through a lot to get this done. You would have to call directory assistance to find a florist in a town close to the recipient. Then you would have to call the florist during their regular business hours (taking into account the possible time change) and try to describe the type of arrangement and flowers you wanted! Now you can just go online, browse, click, and you\’re done!

There is one big challenge to buying flowers online. You need to be careful and make sure the flowers arrive fresh and beautiful! Flowers are very delicate and perishable, and how long they last can be drastically affected by how they\’re handled prior to delivery. Finding a good company takes a little extra time, but is well worth the effort. Here are some tips to help you.

Make sure you are getting an arrangement with guaranteed same-day delivery. This information will most likely be on the home page in a prominent location, but if not, look for it. Do not assume it is same-day delivery, and do not assume the arrangement you chose is eligible. Be sure. The reason this is so important is because the longer the flowers are in transit, the more they become stressed. Stressed flowers wilt and droop long before flowers that have been properly handled.

Find out who delivers them. Are they delivered straight from the grower? Are they delivered via a delivery company? Are they arranged and delivered by a local florist? The thing you are trying to discover here is whether or not the flowers are being shipped. Flowers left in a hot warehouse, stacked with many other items, and then driven around town all day will not hold up well in the long run. If they are being shipped, you want them to be handled by a company designed to deal with flowers.

If the company advertises local florist deliver or FTD service, do not worry. This is a good thing. All it means is that a florist in the area of the final destination address is making and delivering the arrangement. Florists are trained not only to design arrangements, but also to properly care for the flowers. You do not have any control over which florist they use, but chances are in your favor that it will look great.

One thing to be aware of is that the arrangement you see online is an approximation of the one they will actually deliver, especially if they go through a local florist. The florist will match the design as closely as possible, but substitutions are common if a certain flower is not available. If you ordered a specific flower like a orange lilies, you should get that flower (if not, call and complain). However if you ordered a mixed arrangement, do not be alarmed if it is slightly different than the one pictured on the web site.

When the flowers arrive, you need to make sure to follow up. Have the recipient take a picture and email it to you. This way you can determine if the company gave you good value for your money. If not, you will have evidence to back up your claim and perhaps get a refund. At minimum, you will know never to use that company again!

Getting flowers through an online retailer is a easy and affordable way to send flower arrangements, so do not hesitate to try it. Just follow the tips above to find a good company. And once you do, be sure to tell all your friends!

When it comes to purchasing flowers for your wife, it might be tough to surprise her on days she is expecting something nice. So, you should provide flower arrangements online. You can buy online flower delivery in your local area and surprise your loved one the right way.
