Save Time With Park City Grocery Shopping Service And Equipment Rental Delivery

Sunday, April 11th, 2010

The annual ski trip is a tradition for many families who enjoy the mountains and like to get together with their family in a ski resort town over the holidays. The ski vacation experience can be something that your kids will remember fondly and once they`re grown up they may even continue with their own kids. But will you have the same warm memories?

By now you`ve reserved your flights with the airline and rented a great ski condo near Park City Mountain Resort in Park City, UT. Your condo is walking distance to the resort, has an outdoor hot tub, video games for the kids, and a nicely equipped kitchen. You know how much the kids will enjoy coming home to tasty snacks and some warm hot chocolate by the fireplace at the end of each day.

You tried to think of everything but you know that a mix up on your first day can potentially cause an unfortunate beginning to your family ski vacation. You`re supposed to land in SLC by 1:00PM in the afternoon. All you have to do is collect your bags and then ride your shuttle to Park City so you can pick up your keys at the property management office. If things go to plan you should be unloading your bags at your condo around 2:30PM.

Once you`ve dumped off the bags, you`ll take the family into town for a bite to eat and then swing by the equipment rental shop to get everyone`s ski rental equipment for the week. After riding the shuttle back home to unload the skis, it`s back on the shuttle to go to the liquor store and the grocery store. You have everything finished and be back at the house no later than 6:45PM or 7:00PM.

It`s possible you could save a few minutes by hiring a cab instead of using public transportation or even skip the cabs and shuttles altogether by renting a vehicle, but other than the day you get in town and the day you depart it will probably go unused in the garage.

You`re pretty good with logistics, but you forgot to anticipate that just about everyone stops skiing by around 3:30PM and the busiest times at equipment rental shops, grocery stores, and liquor stores in a ski town are from 4:00PM to 8:00PM every day. Locals don`t make trips to the liquor store or grocery store between these hours because they know the wait to check-out can be 30min. to 60min. during the winter.

Now imagine if your prayers for fresh snow are answered as you arrive into town. Eight inches of fresh pow is nice on the mountain but only makes running around town a more difficult task than it would be normally. Add a 3 to 4 hour flight delay, a mix up with the rental car company, weather related traffic delay, or tired and fussy children, and you`ll wonder if this ski vacation is your last ski vacation.

The likelihood for delays is always there, but it doesn`t have to affect your long deserved vacation. Suppose your rental home was already neatly stocked with groceries, everything already put away in the refrigerator and neatly arranged in the pantry, all right when you walk in the door. Now you can make everyone a snack and actually relax instead of doing a bunch of errands. The only thing to do now is wait for the ski rental delivery company to arrive and fit everyone`s ski rental equipment right in your home.

Even if you have flight delays, traffic delays, a dump of Park City snow, you`ve planned ahead and your trip will begin the way you anticipated. Park City delivery services like Ski Butlers www.skibutlers.com and The Grocery Girls www.thegrocerygirls.com can make sure your errands are handled no matter what unforeseen circumstances are thrown your way.

Now is a great time to ensure that your next Park Cityski vacation is truly as relaxing and enjoyable as you hope. Place your order with The Grocery Girls and they will contact your property manager to deliver your groceries before you arrive. Your ski rentals will be just as easy to take care of if you use a delivery ski rental company. Isn`t this a better way to start your vacation; absolutely worry free?

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

Park City, UT provides quite a few dining opportunities to satisfy your needs. No matter whether you`re looking for European or Mexican food; lunch or dinner, you`ll have something to suit your taste buds. Below you will find a sampling of a few of the restaurants you should try during your stay in Park City.

Several Mexican restaurants can be found throughout the Park City area. Nacho Mama`s is a favorite local restaurant in the Prospector Square area, with delicious enchiladas and fish tacos. If you`re closer to town, try Baja Cantina, beside The Lowell condos at PCMR. Staying at or near Kimball Junction? You shouldn`t miss Loco Lizard Cantina, a family restaurant with quick service and plenty of free house-made chips and salsa.

If your family wants to experience Asian cuisine, the town has a couple of nice options to pick from. Wahso restaurant, one of Bill White`s celebrated Park City restaurants, offers a well crafted menu with an Asian influence. Shabu is another great choice; sample the sushi bar or choose from Asian inspired cuisine off the dining menu. Although The Last Samurai is a little outside of the middle of town, it is definitely worth the short drive to experience the table-side chef prepared restaurant environment.

When your family is in the mood for Italian, take a look at Grappa, a renowned restaurant situated at the top of Park City`s historic Main Street. Should you want something not so fancy, Cisero`s is just a few steps down Main Street and features a dance club downstairs, making for a fun night of dining and dancing. If your party is lodging outside of town or willing to consider the free bus to Kimball Junction, Ghidotti`s Italian restaurant is also a great pick for dinner. The antipasto and seared sea scallops are so tasty, you will be really challenged to save room for dessert!

Park City has a number of pizzerias to satisfy the Friday (or Thursday, or Wednesday) night pizza hankering. Order a pizza from Red Banjo or Davanza`s, both authentic pizza parlours right on historic Main St. in Park City. Maxwell`s is also a fine choice, serving up east-coast style pizza in the Newpark area of Park City. These three dining establishments deliver straight to your house, condo, or hotel upon request.

When in PC, do as the locals do; try some fresh sushi! Many local establishments roll top quality nigiri, sashimi, and maki for a healthy, satisfying snack following a day of adventure. On historic Main Street, Flying Sumo and Yuki Arashi are two Park City highlights you shouldn`t skip. Another top choice is Blind Dog, conveniently located in Prospector Square, which has been featured often for it`s top-notch sushi bar.

Remember, travel is a perfect time to make memories and explore attractions you may never see again. Select one of the establishments outlined above, and rest easy that your dining experience will be memorable!
